The 20th Annual Summer Nights in Nevada City celebration, an outdoor festival of art and music, will be held three Wednesday evenings, July 14, 21, and 28, 2010 in this colorful Northern Sierra foothills town.
During Summer Nights, Nevada City’s landmark historic district is closed to motorized traffic and filled with arts, crafts, classic cars, food, drink and music. Leading Sierra foothills musicians perform on outdoor stages throughout the downtown area. Hours are 6-9 p.m. There is no admission charge.

California WorldFest features eight stages of music and dance from around the world, camping with family and friends, workshops, international food, fine crafts, and the renowned children's program... celebrate mid-summer with us under the cool, tall pines of the Sierra foothills. Sierra Storytelling Festival. Join us to revel in 25 years of heartfelt tales at our anniversary celebration! Tellers from around the country and dear to our hearts will regale you with memories both poignant and hilarious. Founder Steve Sanfield will return to our pine-shaded amphitheater joined by Bob Jenkins, Charlie Chin, Diane Ferlatte, Dovie Thomason, Gay Ducey, Jackson Gillman, and Susan Klein. A special Children's Concert will be held on Sunday, July 25th, concurrently with native telling by local Tsi-Akim Maidu tellers. Tickets on sale online and through the mail April 1.$7-$80. Nevada County Concert Band. Pioneer Park's Picnic & Pops Series – concert #2 of 3. Enjoy the 50-piece band's exploration of science, space, and fantasy with big band, pop, classics, folk, and show tunes. The band will also be joined by invited guest musicians, doubling the size to over 100 musicians. Bring your picnic, lawn chairs, blankets, and enjoy the grassy park seating. 5:00pm - 7:00pm. The Nevada City Farmers Market features more than 10 local farms, two stages of local music, artisans, children's activities, and educational demonstrations as well as prepared breakfast and lunch vendors. The Nevada City Certified Growers Market is held from 3-6 p.m. each Tuesday at the Sierra Presbyterian Church, 175 Ridge Road.
